Venga Venga Venga is a celebration of Crit Racing which we love because it’s a party. About a Knife Fight. In kit. With teams and tactics and cornering and crashing and sprinting. Everyone’s sweating. Everyone’s yelling and clapping. It’s hot. There are drinks and barricade butts and eating food on paper plates while sitting in the street. The Fans love it. Ams love it. Pros are about it. And it’s happening all over America in downtown Pain City.

And everyone is invited because like we said, it’s a party. Which is why in addition to showcasing the people and places of Crit Racing, VVV is about promoting and nurturing and fostering as much inclusivity and diversity and accessibility as is possible. Which is why, with the help of our sponsors – Cycling Tips and Cannondale – we created the Do Racing Grant.

It’s small, it’s humble, it’s for anyone and everyone that is part of a traditionally marginalized and/or underrepresented part of our crit racing community. Are you part of a Cat 3/4/5 Womens/ BIPOC/LGBTQIA2S+ crit racing team currently? Are you thinking about starting a Cat 3/4/5 Womens/BIPOC/LGBTQIA2S+ crit racing team? Then this is for you, please apply now.

The application is now closed. Stay tuned for updates.

Grant Panelists

Krystal Salvent

Inspired by my past and present, not always being the strongest or fastest, the journey allows me to learn to fail forward. My mission is to create an inclusive environment where no one feels left behind. And these days, it’s easy to feel left out. Cycling, let’s take it seriously but not so severely we lose the fun in it. Kindness costs you nothing!   I’m excited to pass on my learnings and continue to bring awareness in all facets of sport. Cycling is an opportunity to get healthy, active, and confident; we should all be able to have it.

Evelyn Sifton

On the Bike, Evelyn can be found racing Road, Fixed Gear and Track at home in Ontario and all over North America with Shadow Cycling Collective.
Off the Bike, her voice has raised awareness on many issues the LGBTQ+ community face, with her advocacy acting as a catalyst for more LGBTQ+ participation in sport.

Alonso Tal

Alonso is a photographer and a born creator raised in Southern California. Tal solves problems with Art and Time, investing passion, vision, and care into everything he creates. While he understands the importance of letting art unfold at its own cadence, Tal is no stranger to speed, with experience in the fast-paced fashion industry and the breakneck world of competitive cycling.
